Museum of Traditional Craftsmanship

Guided Tour of the Traditional Craftsmanship Museum

The museum of traditional craftsmanship, located in Villa Montana in Fénis, was inaugurated in 2009 to highlight the traditional craftsmanship through 800 pieces between artifacts and sculptures.

Within a modern layout, the museum talks about the past and present craftsmanship in the Aosta Valley. Currently the museum has unique pieces, objects of use to sculptures from public and private collections. This preserved heritage is the result of the involvement of artisans, collectors and the community.

This art derives from the culture of a mountain territory with a pastoral vocation where life was based on nature rhythms and productions of what it might have to offer.

The guided tour of the Museum can be combined with the visit of the nearby Fénis Castle

A particular area of the museum is dedicated to the Sant’Orso Fair and is updated every year.
