About the food and wine itinerary

The proposed food and wine itinerary includes a guided tour of the city of Aosta, known as the “Rome of the Alps” for its remarkable archaeological remains.

During the walk through the city center, visitors will see the main monuments of the Roman city, such as the Arch of Augustus, the Roman Theatre, the Forum Cryptoporticus, and Porta Praetoria, as well as the medieval part of the city with the Collegiate Church of Sant’Orso and the Cathedral.

The tour will conclude with a tasting of the best local cheeses and cured meats, accompanied by full-bodied glasses of wine, at an ancient dairy, offering insight into the local cheese-making traditions.
