Visit of Skyway Monte Bianco
The Skyway Monte Bianco is a marvel of Italian engineering technology and is the crown jewel of the Aosta Valley and in particular of Courmayeur.
Already called the “eighth wonder of the world”, the new Skyway Monte Bianco cable car will bring you on the roof of Europe, to Punta Helbronner (2466 m) where can admire Mont Blanc and the highest alpine mountains as Matterhorn or Monte Rosa.
From Courmayeur is possible to reach the halfway terminal Pavillon du Mont Fréty (2173 m) where is possible to visit the experimental winery and visit the botanic garden Saussurea, a collection of 900 different kind of alpine plants and flowers.
The trip with Skyway Mont Blanc continues to Punta Helbronner (3466 m) and reach the amazing terrace where you can enjoy a 360° view on the Alps and a matchless view to Mont Blanc and Dent du Géant.
From Punta Helbronner is also possible to reach the Torino Refuge and during summer the trip continues until it reaches Chamonix (France).
The Panoramic Mont Blanc
Once on the top, during the summer, do not miss the Panoramic Mont Blanc gondola lift ride over the Glacier du Géant to the French station Aiguille du Midi (3777 m). The trans Mont Blanc is a panoramic journey by cable car to Chamonix- Mont—Blanc crossing the famous Vallée Blanche.
Visit of Courmayeur
Courmayeur is a modern Alpine city renowned around the world as well as one of the most frequented mountain resorts in Italy and it is undoubtedly linked to Mont Blanc.
In the town center is Via Roma, the beating heart of the city with its shopping area, the trendy cafés and ancient hotels, which still today conserves some important historical monuments, like the beautiful parish Church of Saint Pantaleon and Tour Malloquin. Courmayeur has always been a starting point for alpine expeditions to Mont Blanc, and has an important museum, Duke of the Abruzzi Alpine Museum, with a collection of documents, relics and materials talking about the history of mountaineering.
For people who love walking it is recommended to do some beautiful hikes in Val Veny and Val Ferret.
Don’t miss the Notre Dame de Guérison Sanctuary, located on the road to Val Veny, with a Brenva glacier backdrop and Skyway Monte Bianco, the new cable car that in few minutes reaches the closest point to the summit of Mont Blanc and its majestic glaciers.
